About the Training
This workshop is a two–day journey of self–discovery. You will:

About the Enneagram
This training is an invitation to connect to the true roots of the Enneagram. It means going beyond simple "personality typing" to experience the teachings that were originally taught for liberation — both practical and spiritual.
It was 55 years ago that members of the Esalen community traveled to Arica, Chile, to study with Oscar Ichazo, who taught the Fixations as part of his Protoanalytical teachings. Since that time, the Enneagram has been popularized by many authors who have applied Ichazo's analysis from their own perspectives, including describing the Fixations as "personality types."
This difference is key to the spiritual depth of the teachings. The patterns as mapped out by Protoanalysis represent the lower aspects of our human condition. These aspects obscure our true essential nature — which manifests at a higher level that is happy, free and secure. The clarification processes of this training are to recognize and witness these lower aspects, not to identify with them. This gives us a clear way for rediscovering our natural state of happiness, love and fulfillment.
