THE ORIGINS OF HUMAN SUFFERING
SADNESS • ANGER • FEAR
A FUNDAMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY
by Oscar Ichazo
"Instincts are at the source of life itself… they are the basic manifestations of our entire psychic life."
—Oscar Ichazo
THE THREE INSTINCTS
Suffering and its root causes in our everyday lives are directly related to our three Instincts. To establish the basis upon which Sadness, Anger and Fear manifest, we examine the three Instincts found in the body, each related to an anatomical cavity. Of the five anatomical cavities, the three cavities related to the Instincts are the ones where Feelings of Sadness manifest, Emotions of Anger arise, and Thoughts of Fear are projected. By clarifying and knowing each aspect, we discover an advanced knowledge
and discover our personal process related to each Instinct.

THE THREE INSTINCTS, CAVITIES AND THE EXISTENTIAL ATTITUDES
We have the ever present need to find food (Conservation Instinct), our friends or mate (Relation Instinct), and third, better defenses by adapting to our territory or taking advantage of our environment (Adaptation Instinct).
These basic demands for food, relations or adapting correspond in direct terms to three Instincts and their functions as physiological Centers of a human being. These basic Instincts simultaneously frame our survival. Any time one of these Instincts is threatened, it affects us entirely.

SHARED EXPERIENCES
If you have experienced a "broken heart," have you ever wondered why you felt Sadness and Depression in respect to these feelings? Did you ever consider why some people express a "chip on the shoulder" attitude and display Anger and Anxiety toward others? Are you fearful of the environment, natural and social, and have stressful thoughts, making you appear as a "nervous wreck sometimes?" You will find the answers to these common manifestations we all experience in our life, or we recognize them in others.
"To be able to recognize patterns in your behavior and the
existence of these Existential Attitudes is liberating."
—Oscar Ichazo
CHANGE BY RECOGNITION
"Change by Recognition Processes" present a way to clarify each Instinct to
develop a deeper understanding and knowledge of its manifestations. The outcome of these processes is that of achieving an objective view of these aspects in your life and ensuring that your perspective is no longer disturbed by their effect. You will gain a clarified ground that is free of the Feelings, Emotions and
Thoughts of your process and allows you to live a life that is balanced, full
of understanding, and love.
ATTAINING A CALM STATE
There are two other ways offered to ensure a calm state. One is a breathing technique called "Diakath Breathing," which enables you to open an objective point of view and establish a peaceful state of mind. It can be used during times of stress when a relaxed state is needed. The next way is the "Three Fundamental Forms Meditation," which focuses your attention in such a way that a rebalanced and higher state is attained. The Origins of Human Suffering provides a realized experience of security, happiness and freedom, which is the birthright of every human being.

His groundbreaking work underscores the need to recognize human behavior from its lower levels to its higher understanding in order to meet the challenges of the current global situation and climate crisis. From this higher perspective, and with a unified effort based on an objective ethical understanding, we can face our planet's existential challenges with Unity and focus.
